BadgerBasketball(BadgerChatters Newswire) – Madison, WI — Coach Lisa Stone earned her 100th victory with the Badgers on Sunday with a convincing 68-38 thumping of SIU Edwardsville.

Tara Steinbauer recorded her third double-double of the year and the fifth of her career with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Alyssa Karel led the Badgers (9-2) in scoring with 12 points, while Rae Lin D’Alie and Taylor Wurtz each chipped in 10.

Stone said she was pleased with the distribution of scoring.

“It was nice to be able to do that and again to be able to rest our starters with this stretch we’ve been on, on the front gate of finals week,” said Stone. “Again, nice, balanced scoring.”

The Cougars (2-9) shot just 27.5 percent.
